Y car park of faculty engineering of UM need parking fees??

This morning , i had test frm 9am to 11am..
8.30am, I came out frm my house n fetch my coursemate to UM. As usual, I wanted to park into the car park, bt there were 2 persons stand at there, n the barrier closed . Tat mean cant enter, so i din enter it..
Bt i saw1 car could enter d car park , with a card.. i thk is UM staff.. sien lo.. students hv to park other faculty.. So, I park at fpp , then walk to cls... luckily lecturer haven started the test..
The car park normally, ground , first, second and third (a) floor are reserved for staff, then students have to park start from third (b). Sometimes, i cant find a parking at the car park..
My friend told me tat, ..the car park need pay RM50 per sem if nt mistaken .. i jus curious , y the car park ord built so many years , still need parking fees..
UM nt a government university ?? y students still need pay fees , n the staffs no need pay for it ?? i thk tat,parking mostly in faculty of engineering ord reserved for staffs.. haih..
2 choices for me.. 1 is walk everyday .. another is pay d RM50... let UM earn money.. ^^
